![]() You were always just America's hat, and a tacky ugly one at that. In summary, FUCK YOU AIR CANADA and you know what, FUCK YOU CANADA as a whole. This is so fucking ridiculous I think I'm developing post traumatic stress disorder. The only thing we can think of to do at this point is to drive an hour back to the airport through Houston traffic and go to the baggage area and corner an Air Canada baggage agent. So now we have no bags, we apparently aren't in their fucking system and have no way of talking to anyone on this fucking continent about the fucking issue. He tells me they will need to create one but he cant do that so someone will call me back in 1-2 hours. Well he cant look up my status without that so he looks it up based on my name and airport. Oh wait the Air Canada guy didn't give me one. ![]() So I call the number the guy gave me for questions and wait on hold for 45 minutes only to find out they use a call center in India for their baggage information calls. That was last night, and now they haven't delivered shit. So here I am without clothes for work, waiting on Air Canada to deliver my god damn baggage. Keep in mind this was a long trip and I packed the vast majority of the clothes I actually wear. We talk to the Air Canada baggage agent, looks up our bags and tells us they will arrive on a later flight in the middle of the night so leave our information and tag numbers and they will deliver the bags to us today. Turns out neither did half the passengers' baggage. The flight was ok and land in Houston and guess fucking what? Our baggage did not arrive. We get to the gate and thankfully make it onto the plane but the whole time we had no clue so we a little nervous and frustrated as you can imagine. We then go through the most ridiculous pre-clearance customs thing I could ever imagine which takes about an hour to go through. At this point I'm thinking, "So you flew us across your fucking country completely out of the way without even knowing whether we have a connecting flight?" The good news is that our bags are checked all the way to Houston. She asks us why we didn't get both our boarding passes originally and after telling her the first lady didn't even mention it she looks up our information and finds out that the flight is overbooked and we might not get to even be on the plane. After waiting in various lines we get there and find the most competent member of the Air Canada staff all day. We went to this person who was already angry and with an exasperated tone tole us to go to another ticket counter who told us to go to a check in helper counter. We ask that person and are told it could be either way and we needed to go talk to special check in help. They tell us to go up and talk to one of the people near the check in help line. Do we go pick them up and then recheck them? Do we just go get our boarding pass? We decide to ask somneone. At this point we start trying to "figure out" our bags. We get to Toronto and this has to be the worst most confusing airport I've ever seen. We get on our flight and are off to Toronto. She tells us we will have to figure out our bags in Toronto whatever that means. She gives us our boarding pass for the first flight but doesn't give us the boarding pass for the second one. After waiting in line the help desk woman is rude and defensive directing me to customer relations without me even complaining. We go to ticketing and wait in line and are told thats the wrong one and go to domestic check in help. We go to the international flights desk and wait in line and get told that is the wrong one, go to ticketing. An extra 2200 miles and 4 hours of flight time? Sure, if it gets us home, why not? We get to the Vancouver airport and cant get our boarding passes without going through the help desk. We call their customer service and sit on hold forever and then finally get told they have rebooked us, we would just have to go from Vancouver to Toronto and then to Houston. The only way we found out was some app I have that monitors my flights. Turns out our flight to Calgary gets canceled and they don't notify us at all. The vacation was awesome but we were going to fly home via Air Canada out of Vancouver to Houston with a connection in Calgary. So my SO and I did a Pacific Northwest vacation and started in Portland staying there for 3 days, taking the train to Seattle and staying there for 3 days and then the train again to Vancouver and staying there for three days. I already hate ending vacations but this one takes the cake. You have the worst airline I've ever had to deal with in Air Canada.
